The nifty 50 strikes again. I love this lens for capturing exactly what I remember scenes looking like at the time. This lens never feels like it’s too artificially zoomed, or like it’s got a superhuman field of view. Admittedly, my camera is a crop sensor, so I suppose I’m actually singing the praises of an uncropped 80mm or so?

Nevertheless, my 50mm, with my camera, never fails me.

This shot was a quick hip shot from when I went to visit the small town of Frome, near Bath, on a visit to see my friends Roussetos & Sofia. This wasn’t the same weekend when I went to the Bath Christmas Markets & drooled over fresh pork, but I remember it being a cold day.
