On a sunny day in 2017, myself and Julian hiked up Pendle Hill. It’s only a short walk in East Lancashire, at about 1200ft of climbing. This shot was taken as we were starting to approach the summit of the hill – as you looked down, you could see the trial of people scattered around the various paths. We weren’t quite high enough to describe them as ‘ants’, but they add an interesting reminder of scale to the image.
You can’t tell much about the weather in this shot, but I took another picture of Julian as we started the climb which does the weather justice.
